Extending Permit Question

Our A-frame and deck were approved last fall, however, we are running into an issue with the availability of the wood needed to complete the project (primarily the foundation posts needed for the frame). What, if any, is the process to have our deadline extended? My concern is not being able to complete the project within a year if we’re unable to get the necessary materials due to COVID / Supply issues, and I really don’t want to have to go through the entire process / pay additional fees again.

Go to the office before your permit expires and they will issue you another permit, (No Charge). Mecklenburg County handles their own permits. You will have to check with them about their procedures.
