Boat Slip Fees Raised From Last Year

We received our bill today for our boat slip and it appears the fee has went up $70 from last year.  Last year we paid $230 and the letter indicates the fee is now $300.  Can someone explain the reason for such a huge increase?  Would appreciate some feedback on this.  The letter didn't address the reason for the increase.  If the cameras are going to be monitored then maybe I can understand it (since fishing goes on at the boat slips but appears nothing is said to the people fishing near the boats).  Just would like an explanation.  Thank you for your time.

It was discussed and approved at the BOD meeting. Monies will be used to upgrade and maintain the slips. New lights are being installed and if the camera system doesn’t look better with the new lights it may be replaced as well. Thanks

So will this increase be a one time deal for this year and it will go back to the original amount it was or will it be $300 from now on each year until it gets voted on to increase again?

It will remain as it is until it is voted on to raise or lower. At the current rate it is still hundreds of dollars less than the cheapest slips on the lake.

Okay. It would have been nice if the boat slip owners had a heads up on that significant of an increase. I do agree it is cheaper than other slips but at the end of the day, a $70 increase is very significant. I can only hope the money is used to better the slips.

It was voted on at the last BOD meeting. The minutes will be approved at the next meeting and then posted to Grapevinenow. All monies for boat decals and boat slips is used exclusively for Boating and Fishing. Thanks and have a great day!
