Bill for 2022/2023 dues Empty Bill for 2022/2023 dues

I’m assuming the bills will be going out soon for this year‘s dues my question is because the Board of Directors has a fiduciary responsibility that there probably will be a capital improvement assessment just to maintain what we have and if that’s the case maybe it would be a good faith gesture to let us know what that might be I believe because of the way things went with the vote for a dues increase a little good faith would go a long ways

Hi! My name is Pamela. I am not a board member but am on the new budget committee. We have only met 2 times since we had to wait for the vote to take place to know how much we had to work with for this coming year and since the March Board meeting when it was mentioned that they were still looking for volunteers. We will be presenting the budget to the Board at the meeting on Saturday April 9th. I definitely encourage everyone to attend. There has not been a request for another special assessment from the committee to the Board at this time. We will be making recommendations for consideration to help our community move forward when we make our presentation.

You are welcome! I can say that we are still working diligently as a committee to do our best to provide reasonable recommendations. We know that we are not going to be able to please everyone (including ourselves) but our goal is to do what is best for the association as a whole. We have a great representation from both camping and mobile home villages. It is an honor to serve with this wonderful group because we all have brought different perspectives and been able to discuss ideas and concerns openly and in my opinion respectfully with each other. We are working to provide collaborative solutions. It is our hope that we have as many of our fellow property owners join us Saturday.

Pamela I’d like to thank you for your reply I was just hoping that one of the board members would tell us what The amount may be so that we can prepare for it, because I understand they cannot run the place on $250 per lot.

I understand completely about the $250 per lot. Unfortunately that is what the community vote has left us with to operate. Also, the Board would not be able to consider a number to provide until after the budget is presented on Saturday with our recommendations. According to Roberts rules, they would have to make a motion, second, and vote to accept it before they can do anything else. I apologize because I know that’s not the answer you were looking for, but I just wanted to let you know why they possibly might not be answering your question at this time. Hope to get to meet you on Saturday!

I hope you feel better soon and look forward to meeting you! I believe they went well, but that is only my opinion based on comments we received afterwards. We will be posting to grapevine shortly! I just need to spend some time with family first.

Pamela, as u say the po voted 250$ but really the bod gave us no choice. If they would have put the vote only at 850 that would have won.. they knew adding the 1,200 after that was gonna get a vote of no. So I blame the bod for the 250$ dues now. However I’ve heard pool will be shut down? That is unacceptable. We pay the dues so our amenities need to still be available. I know a family that is moving in mainly for the pool for their kids. I use the pool often. Can you please see what y’all can do to open it? It’s not our fault. Even if u have to dip in the money market account or charge po a small fee to use the pool all summer. The pool needs to stay open to give the kids n summer kids a place to go n play that they use every year. Thank you

Thank you and I certainly understand because the amenities are the reason we purchased in RR also. According to Roberto the Board meeting after our presentation that he will be opening the pool so the Finance committee will be paying close attention to make sure we are not having to draw but so much out of the MM account. I hope that is helpful! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hi-there is a post on Grapevine that if you have 2 lots and only 1 meter you only have to pay one $60 fee. I attended the 4/9 board meeting and don’t recall that being a topic/vote. Can you please clarify when/if that decision was made? Not saying I agree or disagree but how can the board make that decision on their own?

Hi. I was a bit confused by that and have been told that since the POs have not had the vote yet to raise the dues, then it remains $250 for all and the $60 user fee for the lots with water the way it has been. The Board did not change anything. The original post on grapevine did not have the correct information so that is why today’s post was added. The Finance committee based their presentation on the original post. I apologize for that misrepresentation. We (Finance committee) worked very hard to make sure we used accurate information in our presentation. If the vote for the $850 passes, the user fee is eliminated. So based on current rules per lot, if you pay $250 on May 1 then you pay $600 on Aug1 if you pay $310 on May 1 then you pay $540 on Aug 1. I hope that answers your question. Thank you so much for reaching out. I greatly appreciate it! I encourage you to continue to reach out anytime you have questions and also ask for your patience as our new committee continues to work within the rules of our Covenants, Bylaws and HOA Code of VA laws.
